Zorzettig Opens New Winery and Visitor Spaces in Friuli
Zorzettig has opened Cantina Viva in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, a facility the company says consolidates its production operations and improves processes and working conditions. The project incorporates part of an existing building into a new wing; the winery’s historic barrel cellar remains in use for older vintages.
The site also includes visitor spaces and is intended to support wine tourism beyond tastings, with access to the historic cellar, vineyards and surrounding countryside. The company says the facility includes energy-efficiency measures, consumption reduction and water recovery. It also cites preservation of local apple, pear, cherry and plum varieties planted alongside vineyards as part of its biodiversity work.
The inauguration comes as Zorzettig begins working with winemaker Luca D’Attoma in 2026. The company says the collaboration will focus on individual vineyard characteristics and restrained cellar practices. The opening announcement also describes an ongoing brand refresh developed with Studio Idee Materia; it does not disclose the winery’s cost or production capacity.
