Tenuta Luce Completes 2026 Harvest in Montalcino
The Montalcino estate began picking for Luce on August 26 and finished with Cabernet Sauvignon from its Campolungo vineyard on October 5. During September, it harvested Sangiovese from Madonnino for Luce Brunello and from Caselli for Luce, scheduling each plot according to its ripening, the winery said.
Tenuta Luce described the growing season as warm and dry, following a cool, rainy winter and spring that replenished soil water reserves. It said rain and lower temperatures in mid-September improved water availability as Sangiovese ripened. The estate’s initial cellar tastings pointed to wines of finesse and balance; these are the winery’s early assessments.
